Start-finish venue and course details


The event venue is the Traralgon Recreation Reserve & Showgrounds (Whitakers Road).

You can also view a map of the Traralgon Recreation Reserve to help you navigate your way around, to the start and finish, parking and all of the other facilities.

From the Recreation Reserve participants run through Victory Park and under the highway, around to Franklin Street and up to Marshalls Road, with half and full marathon participants continuing on to the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail.

The Traralgon Marathon and Running Festival incorporates three events:

  1. WIN Network 52nd Traralgon Marathon – 42.2 km
  2. Aussie Broadband Half Marathon – 21.1 km
  3. Gold 1242 10 km
  4. Kids 2km

Relay option

This year you will have the chance to form a team to complete the Marathon.

Teams can consist of 2,3 or 4 participants and can be of mixed gender and age.

Relay arrangements

  • Relay changeover will occur at the Half Marathon turn around near Glengarry, the Full Marathon turn around at Toongabbie and back at the Half Marathon turn around.
  • Teams will be responsible for making their own way to each change over and to be ready to go when their teammate arrives.
  • Teams will be encouraged to join back together for the final 500m and to cross the line as one to collect their finisher medals.
  • Team entries will not be eligible for any outright WIN Network Traralgon Marathon placings.

To help our event management, if you anticipate taking longer than 4hrs 30mins to complete the marathon you are requested to make an early start at 7:05am.
